418 kWh battery energy storage system

A commercial and industrial (C&I) energy storage cabinet is a highly integrated energy storage system, primarily composed of a battery pack, an inverter, and an energy management system (EMS).

ZZLYSUN is a manufacturer of commercial and industrial battery energy storage systems, specializing in lithium iron phosphate (LFP) solutions from 50kWh to 10MWh. Each battery energy storage system is designed, assembled and factory-tested in our facility, delivering a compact all-in-one configuration for peak shaving, backup power and solar-plus-storage projects. Every unit ships with certifications, a 10 year performance warranty, remote monitoring through our own EMS platform, and full ODM/OEM support — custom color, branding, container design and project-specific engineering — for distributors, EPCs and system integrators worldwide.

C&I battery storage 418kWh structure: Dual-cabin separation layout

The mainstream integrated cabinets usually adopt a vertical dual-cabin structure, physically isolating the energy unit from the power unit:

Position

Core component

Function

Upper battery compartment

Battery cluster (PACK), BMS from control

Energy storage area.

Usually pack 5-6 standard battery modules. The “top-mounted” design goof for the natural ascent of hot air, and is combined with a liquid cooling plate for heat dissipation.

Lower electrical compartment

PCS inverter, high-voltage box, liquid-cooled unit

Energy conversion zone.

The PCS is heavy and generates a large amount of heat. It is placed at the bottom to reduce the center of gravity; the liquid-cooled unit is responsible for the refrigeration cycle.

Side cabin

Fire protection pipes, AC power distribution, EMS panel

Auxiliary system.

Fire-fighting pipelines run through the entire cabinet; the EMS monitoring screens are mostly located on the side of the cabinet or on the front door, making operation convenient.

418kWh Battery Cabinet Application

large-scale manufacturing enterprises

It can be used such as automotive parts ,electronics manufacturers, and chemical plants, etc., which have high electricity consumption and differences in peak and off-peak electricity prices.

Park-level energy management

It provide peak-load reduction and off-peak utilization services for the entire industrial park or large commercial complex

Producing department

It suitable for precision production workshops or laboratories that require long-term and uninterrupted power supply.

Frequently Asked Questions

The  advantage of the 418kwh is that single-unit capacity is large and the power is high. When building large-scale energy storage systems at the megawatt-hour (MWh) level, using 418kwh cabinets can significantly reduce the number of cabinets, save land occupation, simplify internal wiring and system management, and lower the complexity of later operation and maintenance.

A 418kWh LFP (lithium iron phosphate) battery cabinet typically delivers over 6,000 charge-discharge cycles to 80% depth of discharge (DOD), with a design life of 10–15 years under proper operating conditions. At one cycle per day, that translates to roughly 15+ years of calendar service before capacity drops below 80% of the rated value.

The 418kwh battery cabinet runtime depends entirely on the load. With 481 kWh usable capacity, and accounting for ~90% depth of discharge and ~95% PCS efficiency, you have roughly 350 kWh of usable AC energy available. Divide that by your continuous load in kW to estimate hours of backup.
